1. Who we are

Sawmli ("we", "our", "us") operates the platform at sawmli.com, a facility management services marketplace connecting businesses in Saudi Arabia with verified service providers. Sawmli is operated by a company registered in Ajman Free Zone, United Arab Emirates.

2. What data we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (encrypted)
  • Business information: company name, commercial registration (CR) number, industry, city, company size
  • Service information: RFQ details (service type, location, frequency, scope, budget), quotes submitted, reviews
  • For FM providers: services offered, coverage zones, pricing, workforce availability, experience
  • Technical information: browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match SME buyers with appropriate FM service providers
  • Deliver RFQ notifications to providers via WhatsApp
  • Display provider listings on the platform
  • Enable quote submission, comparison, and acceptance
  • Improve our platform and user experience
  • Communicate important updates about your account

4. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these cases:

  • Between buyer and provider: when a buyer submits an RFQ, matching providers see the RFQ details. Provider contact information is shared with the buyer only after a quote is accepted.
  • WhatsApp notifications: your phone number is used to send RFQ notifications via WhatsApp deep links.
  • Service providers: Firebase (Google Cloud) hosts our database and authentication.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required by law in Saudi Arabia or the UAE.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the me-central1 region (Doha, Qatar). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Active accounts: data retained for the lifetime of the account
  • Deleted accounts: personal data deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • RFQs and quotes: retained for 2 years after completion, then archived
  • Reviews: retained indefinitely as public content unless the reviewer requests deletion

7. Your rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by Sawmli
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data and account
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, email us at sawmli.app@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and tracking

Sawmli uses essential cookies only (Firebase Auth session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Children

Sawmli is a B2B platform. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes. The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision.
